About the Role

The Manager Research & Analysis is critical to making this happen and will:

  • Ensure that the Research & Analysis process, procedures and reporting facilitates the goals to meet overall business targets;

  • Collaborate and engage with the broader business to ensure that risk is adequately managed across the business, not only credit risk;

  • Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders;

  • Ensure that analytics clearly articulate key risks, mitigants and commercial drivers;

  • Apply industry/client knowledge to facilitate leading client value-add solutions and superior risk analysis;

  • Ensure that your customer portfolio meets all the requirements to maintain the well managed agenda.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven years of banking experience and customer management;

  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics;

  • Excellent understanding of risk arising from credit risk, market risk, operational risk - across customer, product and country;

  • Excellent credit skills with the ability to present a well-motivated risk assessment and business proposition;

  • Highly developed conceptual thinking capabilities;

  • Experience in people management is an added advantage;

  • Exceptionally strong communication skills - written and verbal.

  • Highly motivated, self-directed and team player
