About the Role
As an Analyst – Governance & Reporting, Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) , you’ll play a key role in supporting disciplined governance routines, accurate risk reporting, and reliable documentation across the business. Working within the First Line of Defence, this role supports the effective management of non‑financial risk by coordinating governance activities, maintaining risk data, and preparing high‑quality materials that enhance visibility of risks, controls, and customer impacts. The role works closely with business and risk stakeholders to support informed, risk‑aware decision‑making across the Pacific.

What will your day look like?
As an Analyst Governance & Reporting NFR, you will:
• Spporting the delivery of regular NFR governance routines, including preparing agendas, governance papers, and action logs for forums.
• Maintaining governance documentation, templates, and records in line with established standards and version‑control requirements.
• Updating and monitoring risk events, issues, remediation actions, and logs to ensure data is accurate, complete, and audit‑ready.
• Coordinating inputs for audits, regulatory requests, and assurance activities, including collation of supporting evidence.
• Consolidating data inputs and preparing sections of NFR reports, dashboards, and management packs under guidance.
• Monitoring risk indicators and metrics, identifying variances, trends, or anomalies for escalation and review.
• Assisting with basic analysis to identify emerging risks, themes, or control issues.
• Producing clear, well‑structured governance artefacts, including minutes, reports, and evidence packs.
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders across business units and Centres of Excellence to gather information and meet governance timelines.
• Supporting continuous improvement of governance and reporting processes to uplift quality and consistency.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
• A tertiary qualification in business, risk, law, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a governance, risk, compliance, assurance, or analytical environment (or transferable experience from similar roles).
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, well‑structured documentation and reports.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
• Developing analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support insight generation.
• Experience contributing to governance packs, reporting inputs, or structured documentation.
• Exposure to audit, regulatory, or assurance activities is advantageous.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage recurring governance activities and deadlines.
• Collaborative stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to ask questions and provide evidence‑based challenge when appropriate.
• A proactive mindset with an interest in learning, continuous improvement, and strengthening risk culture.
