About the Role


As Analyst, Research & Analysis (R&A), you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality credit assessments, strengthening risk management practices, and supporting customer outcomes across the Pacific Business Unit. You will:

•    Deliver timely, accurate and insightful counterparty and industry analysis for a defined customer portfolio.
•    Support Relationship Managers by preparing for client meetings, contributing insights during discussions, and providing follow‑up analysis.
•    Structure transactions, draft high‑quality credit papers, and ensure risks, mitigants and commercial considerations are clearly articulated.
•    Maintain a well‑managed portfolio, ensuring zero overdue reviews, strong data quality, and compliance with all credit and regulatory requirements.
•    Proactively identify early warning signs, escalate risks where appropriate, and act as a strong first line of defence.
•    Collaborate with Relationship, Risk and Product teams to drive strong customer outcomes and safe business growth.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

•    Proven experience in banking
•    Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics
•    Good understanding of risk arising from credit risk, operational risk, and market risk across customer, product and country
•    Prior experience in broader Risk disciplines is an added advantage
•    Well-developed conceptual thinking capabilities 
•    Good written and verbal skills
•    Highly motivated, self-directed, and a team player
