About the Role

This role is branch based, identifying & fulfilling small business, customers business needs including their transactional, working capital, lending and home lending needs.

What will your day look like?

As a Small Business Specialist, you will uncover your customer’s needs and recommend a tailored banking solution to create value for their business. Immersing yourself in the branch team, you will to grow revenue through deposits, lending and share of wallet through origination of new small business customers to ANZ, business development and undertaking health checks for existing ANZ Small Business customers.

You will be a specialist local banker who becomes the end to end commercial arm of one of our highest and most used branches. You will build and develop a relationship with this key stakeholder and local networks to hunt for new business and focus on Micro Commercial customers with Business Lending needs. You will also collaborate and prospect with the broker network for new business opportunities. You will also coach and mentor Banking Consultants, Personal Bankers and Service Consultants to identify and refer quality opportunities.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

• Strong customer service and business development experience
• Be comfortable working with a wide range of clients face to face
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Ability to work cohesively in a team
• Commercial Banking and Retail Banking experience will be highly regarded
