About the role
As an IT Manager, you are accountable for the Technology Operational functions for Kiribati. The key areas of responsibilities include end user support, infrastructure support and ensuring delivery of technology initiatives for Kiribati. This role involves sitting at the Country Leadership table and requires someone who can build trust at this level whilst still able to be reactive when dealing with frontline challenges.

What will your day look like?
As an IT Manager, you provide holistic management of services across the division within a technology domain. The role work closely with the Service Integration and Management (SIAM) CoE and will focus on assurance and uplift of operational business services for the Technology Domain.
As an IT Manager, you are accountable for:

IT Production support including first line support for application, infrastructure, automation, and ANZ physical sites across Kiribati

IT Service Management, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Managing group IT deliveries, infrastructure life cycle planning and technology vendor management and security initiatives for the country

Working with delivery teams to support rollout of new or upgrade existing applications.

Day to day management of teams ensuring KRA’s and personal development plans are in place and appropriately managed.

Financial accountability to deliver budgets/stretches for the FY.

Strong stakeholder management to ensure strong collaborative relationships.

Supporting and executing the Business and Technology strategies as required. This role will be accountable for delivering the Cloud Strategy and the In-Country infrastructure plan for the Pacific.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
-
Tertiary qualification preferably degree in IT related discipline
-
Extensive years of IT service delivery experience, Information Security risk experience and technology management. Banking knowledge would be an added advantage

Strong experience in Technology support functions experience across a range/variety of platforms e.g. office products, ANZ Pacific systems (ideal but not essential), payments infrastructure, networks and communications

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to ensure stakeholders are engaged and confident in Technology

Understanding or qualification of ITIL practices (certification)

Project Management experience
-
Leadership and people management experience, in a matrix environment preferred.

Experience in facing into Senior executive Leadership in forums or in stressed environments e.g. when dealing with issues and incidents.

Analytical and decision-making capability with the ability to respond quick in DR / BCP situations

Knowledge of technology processes and systemssuch as operating systems, Virtualisation and cloud platforms and office products

Offshore experience or working with/in other cultures is preferable.

Aptitude for grasping and mastering new technology

Operational Contract Management (OCM) experience, specifically with Telcos and Network providers
-
Cybersecurity and Information security experiences including risk management frameworks
