About the Role
As a Director, TBFI Sales (Transaction Banking Financial Institutions), you will be accountable for originating, leading and maximizing Transaction Banking opportunities across a portfolio of Financial Institutions clients. You will drive revenue growth by delivering differentiated Payments & Cash Management, Liquidity Management and Trade Finance solutions, leveraging ANZ's global network, market expertise and regional capabilities to create sustainable client value and deepen strategic relationships.

What will your day look like?
As a Director, TBFI Sales, you will
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Financial Institutions clients, including Banks, Diversified Financials, Funds, Insurance companies, and Brokers/Dealers.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and executing transaction banking opportunities across Payments & Cash Management (PCM), Liquidity Management, and Trade Finance solutions.
- Develop and implement client acquisition and portfolio growth strategies.
- Originate and execute business opportunities by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Lead or support Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) responses, client presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Build sustainable revenue streams across existing and new client relationships.
- Partner closely with Relationship Managers, Product teams, and regional stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams across multiple geographies to deliver regional and cross-border solutions.
- Maintain strong risk and compliance discipline, ensuring issues are proactively identified and escalated where appropriate.
- Support the development of less experienced team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Extensive experience in Transaction Banking, Financial Institutions Coverage, or Corporate Banking.
- Deep expertise in Payments, Cash Management, Liquidity Solutions and Trade Finance.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and achieving ambitious business targets.
- Strong origination capability with the ability to identify, structure and execute complex opportunities.
- Demonstrated success managing senior relationships across Banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute portfolio growth initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level.
- Experience leading complex regional engagements involving multiple stakeholders and markets.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Coverage, Product, Operations and Risk teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, risk and compliance frameworks within financial services.
- Excellent communication, presentation and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Curiosity and awareness of emerging trends shaping Transaction Banking and the broader financial services landscape.
- Highly motivated, resilient and capable of operating with autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team member who contributes to team performance and supports the development of junior colleagues.
