About the Role
As an Associate Director Strategic Sales, Payment and Cash Management (PCM) in our Institutional Transaction Banking team, you will play a critical role in driving ANZ’s international growth strategy in payments and cash management. With customer buying behaviour increasingly shifting toward specialization, you will lead with thought leadership to design and implement innovative, client-centric sales strategies tailored to the evolving needs of our corporate and institutional clients across Asia, Europe, and America. This individual contributor role requires a strategic, influential communicator who can identify and unlock high-impact opportunities, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and deliver scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective client engagement solutions.

What will your day look like?
As an Associate Director Strategic Sales, Payment and Cash Management (PCM) you will
- Originate, lead, and support complex Payments and Cash Management (PCM) solutioning initiatives across international markets.
- Oversee and coordinate responses to RFPs, ensuring successful outcomes and deepening client engagement.
- Build and nurture strong relationships across the ANZ network to strengthen collaboration and unlock new business opportunities.
- Contribute to knowledge development within the team and broader organization to support strategic decision-making and capability uplift.
- Identify unmet client needs and drive demand by leading initiatives that enhance connectivity and stimulate new opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize clients’ financial performance, including effective management of currency risks.
- Lead the evolution and execution of commercialization and campaign initiatives across international markets to replicate and scale PCM success.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking, Technology, or a related field
- Extensive years of relevant experience in corporate, commercial, or institutional banking
- Extensive experience in Payments and Cash Management (PCM), with a strong track record in regional sales role
- Deep understanding of the banking landscape, including competitor positioning and market dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to originate and lead complex PCM solutions, focused on client-centric outcomes and sustainable growth
- Experience in international treasury environments, B2B payments, and digital transformation initiatives
- Practical knowledge of financial and operational models, including process optimisation, cash and liquidity management
- Experience in commercialising digital technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Familiarity with SWIFT, ERP and Treasury Management Systems (TMS) integrations
- A growth mindset and strong awareness of emerging technologies and future regulatory developments
- Proven strategic thinking and thought leadership, with deep knowledge of governance, compliance, risk management, control, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive change through cross-team collaboration, shared purpose, and New Ways of Leading (NWOL)
