About the Role
As an Associate Director, Research & Analysis, Singapore you will manage a portfolio of customers including commercial real estate and commodity trading from a Research & Analysis perspective, applying robust credit and risk assessment alongside thoughtful deal structuring to enable and execute transactions in close partnership with Relationship Bankers, Product Partners, and Institutional Risk.

What will your day look like?
As an Associate Director, Research & Analysis, Singapore you will
- Contribute to business growth through timely preparation of high-quality credit papers for new and existing clients
- Improve return on financial resources through effective deal structuring, accurate risk grading, and maintenance of correct customer data
- Attend customer meetings with Relationship Managers to build a strong understanding of customer business models and industries
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure deep, up-to-date segment knowledge and industry insights
- Support development and execution of strategies for customer growth, including new transactions and management of deteriorating credits
- Drive client engagement by delivering high-quality analysis and insights within acceptable risk parameters
- Prepare credit memoranda covering key risks and mitigants, including customer, industry, and financial assessments
- Act as a strong first line of defence through proactive risk management and adherence to internal credit processes and policies
- Acquire deep knowledge of products and services provided by Institutional Banking and how these can meet needs of customers
- Partner with Relationship Management and Product Specialists to establish credit requirements, including deal structuring and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and accuracy of client data in systems, while identifying process improvement opportunities
- Proactively manage risk exposure and identify key risk elements, ensuring alignment with group standards and regulatory requirements
- Promote ANZ’s core values, building collaborative working relationships across different business units to support timely delivery of outcomes to customers.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Extensive experience in credit analyst roles
- Strong analytical skills supporting sound commercial judgement
- Ability to apply business instincts to underpin actions, recommendations, and decisions
- Thorough knowledge of credit and risk management principles, policies and procedures
- Strong financial modelling capability
- Highly motivated and self-directed approach to work
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic with high attention to detail
- Focus on accuracy and quality in deliverables
