About the Role

 

As a Talent & Culture (T&C) Officer in our China T&C team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of in-country Talent & Culture operational processes. You will manage complex workflows, streamline operations, and drive efficiency through automation and technology solutions. This role focuses on activities that must remain within China due to governance, regulatory, location-specific, or employee-facing requirements. You will play a key role in enabling compliant, efficient, and employee-focused HR operations that support the broader business and people strategy.

Role Type: Full-time, 24 Months Contract

 

What will your day look like?

 

 

As a Talent & Culture Officer you will;

 

  • Contribute to the China team by owning and delivering allocated work within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure end-to-end T&C processes are followed and executed within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Take responsibility for in-country end-users, with a primary focus on T&C operations and regulatory reporting as required.
  • Manage quality assurance by resolving process and processing defects, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Manage internal audit requirements related to T&C delivery processes.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with the T&C team and colleagues at all levels, including senior business leaders.
  • Proactively recognise and act on opportunities to share knowledge and insights with T&C colleagues.
  • Ensure relevant T&C team members and end-users are informed, engaged, and supported on in-country operational requirements.
  • Ensure alignment with ANZ Group governance policies, processes, and standards, as well as external regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively manage risks through T&C processes and ensure 100% compliance with in-country regulatory requirements, while role modelling ANZ values and effectively managing non-financial risk.

 

What will you bring?

 

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Tertiary qualified with relevant experience in HR operations and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in implementing or supporting tech-enabled HR solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision-making.
  • Sound understanding of local labor laws and HR compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care.
