About the Role

 

As a Compliance Manager you will be a member of the Risk & Compliance team in China and will support the Head of Compliance in compliance initiatives to deliver effective compliance risk management and controls, and superior performance in a challenging and changing environment.

 

You will play a key role in supporting them in managing regulatory changes, compliance policies and procedures, regulatory correspondence and reporting, Non-Financial Risk framework (IAM Amplified), compliance advisory, and other compliance-related projects and initiatives.

What will your day look like?


 

As a Compliance Specialist and in partnership with the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of high quality Compliance programs in-country, as well as independently carrying out compliance activities such as regulatory advisory, regulatory communication, compliance monitoring and reporting to ensure the business is compliant with all relevant obligations


As a Compliance Specialist, you will be accountable for:

 

  • Maintenance of strong relationships with Regulators at the functional level 
  • Completion of required regulatory returns owned by Compliance and assistance in the provision of information/input to regulators upon request
  • Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date Country Obligations Library
  • Ensure processes for managing regulatory obligations are documented and operational and advise the business to ensure processes impacted by Obligations have been identified and assessed
  • Contribute to and support solution design for compliance breaches and issues management
  • Partner with Head of Compliance to effectively implement ANZ Group AML and Sanction Compliance Program
  • Monitor and ensure all Compliance mandatory training and AML Role Specific Training (RST) has been completed and conduct regulatory trainings

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Extensive years of relevant experience with deep knowledge of the primary regulations and framework affecting various business lines.

  • Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably in banking industry

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate compliance views on complicated matters.

  • Good leadership and influencing skills.

  • Strong, decisive, solution-driven team player.

  • Positive, can-do attitude; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
