About the Role
As a Compliance Manager, you are responsible in assisting the Head of Compliance in implementation and maintenance of I.AM Framework and Financial Crime obligations, as well as carrying out compliance activities such as regulatory advisory, regulatory interactions, monitoring and reporting to ensure the business is compliant with all relevant obligations.

What will your day look like?
In addition, you will also be responsible with the following:
- Assist Head of Compliance, Korea in ensuring budget is adhered to by exercising appropriate diligence in cost restraints.
- Minimize losses and penalties resulting of compliance risks in Korea
- Assist the Head of Compliance, Korea in providing timely and specialist advice on compliance, financial crime and policy/framework matters
- Assist the Country MLRO in reviewing AML / Sanctions related issues in relation to payments, customers, products and channels.
- Assist the Head of Compliance, Korea to perform the responsibilities under the Responsibilities Map by ensuring control activities in the process manual are completed in a timely basis
- Prepare Compliance management information and assist with the development and ongoing improvement of an effective reporting pack that can be aggregated from country to region to division.
- Ensure timely submission of the in-country regulatory reporting including STR and CTR reports.
- Provide support and guidance to the businesses to embed a culture of responsibility for ongoing compliance at all levels of the business to achieve better governance and optimal review outcomes.
- Providing guidance and direction, including training and advisory function, to BU management on effective compliance with AML/CTF and Sanctions Policies
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong knowledge of banking and financial investment operations, instruments, processes
- Proven understanding of ANZ Risk and Compliance frameworks and policies
- Strong understanding on legislative and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to work in a team and proactively contribute ideas
- Analytical skills coupled with problem solving capability
- Good communication skills in English and Korean as the role will be communicating with local and global stakeholders.
