About the Role

As an Associate, Research & Analysis, Korea, you are primarily responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the asset class/project in the client's business model and industry.  As part of the team, Research & Analysis works in full collaboration with GSG Relationship teams and Credit to provide risk analysis and client support as part of the team’s identification of client needs and sales opportunities to deliver long term financial returns to the International Institutional Banking.

Role Location: ANZ Branch Seoul, South Korea

Role Type: Full-time; Fixed term contract

What will your day look like?

  • Drive achievement of revenue growth targets while optimizing revenue and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) within the Institutional Client Group
  • Partner with Relationship Managers on client visits to gain deep understanding of client business models, financial position, and industry dynamics
  • Deliver timely completion of annual credit reviews and ensure prompt turnaround for new client opportunities
  • Structure well-balanced, risk-mitigated credit facilities tailored to client needs and aligned with bank objectives
  • Apply a forward-looking approach in identifying, assessing, and managing emerging credit risks
  • Maintain strong portfolio credit quality in line with agreed risk appetite and portfolio parameters
  • Ensure strict adherence to ANZ credit policies, procedures, and governance standards, achieving satisfactory audit outcomes
  • Demonstrate integrity and collaboration by working closely with Relationship Teams, Lending Operations, Product Partners, and Risk stakeholders
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships across local teams and the broader ANZ network

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven years of relevant experience in credit analysis in the institutional and large corporates space
  • Knowledge in banking products and structures, loans, trade finance and global markets
  • Excellent English writing and speaking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Korean both written and verbal as the role will be communicating with local and global stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification preferably in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or Finance
