The Assistant Manager role is critical to making this happen. In this role, you will assist the Relationship Manager to develop sustained business growth whilst maintaining sound risk management to ensure that a quality portfolio is maintained. You will conduct analysis of clients’ financial statements, annual review of financial performance and lending facilities; assist clients with internet banking, credit cards, merchant facilities and other electronic transaction.

What will your day look like?


As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to: 

•     Support  in making banking easier for customers, providing customer solutions, and insights,
•     Conduct financial analysis and develop and implement appropriate customer strategies,
•     Establish and maintain a professional profile in the market and maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry and associated markets,
•     Work collaboratively with other internal work functions and stakeholders, and
•     Demonstrate living the ANZ Values with customers and colleagues.

What will you bring?

 

In this role, your typical day may involve:

  • Supporting the Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily operations
  • Monitoring team performance and helping ensure targets, SLAs, or KPIs are met
  • Assisting with task allocation, workflow management, and prioritization
  • Acting as a point of contact for team queries and escalating issues where needed
  • Preparing reports, tracking progress, and providing updates to stakeholders
  • Supporting process improvements and implementing best practices
  • Coaching and guiding team members to help them perform at their best

You’ll play an active role in keeping things running efficiently while contributing ideas to improve outcomes.
