About the Role

 

The mission of ANZ’s Cyber defence squad is to keep the bank safe by allowing secure access to the Internet. 

 

Key activities that support this mission: 

 

  • Collaborate with various business units globally to manage and support security platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to endpoint security technologies.
  • Manage the execution of upgrades, enhancements, and requests.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and provide security control enhancement recommendations based on regulatory and best practice procedures.
  • Provide on call support (after hours support)

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven years of advanced, hands-on experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Tenable.sc and/or Tenable.io, including enterprise-scale vulnerability management, risk prioritisation, reporting, and remediation tracking.
  • Proven experience installing, configuring, administering, troubleshooting, hardening, and patching Linux, Windows, and macOS environments across large and complex enterprise infrastructures.
  • Experience driving vulnerability remediation programmes, collaborating with cross-functional technology teams, and providing expert guidance on vulnerability management best practices and risk reduction strategies.
  • Strong experience implementing and managing security configurations, endpoint management, and compliance controls using platforms such as Microsoft SCCM, Intune, Puppet, or similar enterprise management solutions.
  • Solid understanding of core enterprise infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Windows and macOS endpoints, Windows and Linux servers, virtualisation platforms, cloud services, and operational support tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to align security initiatives with business objectives, balancing risk management, operational requirements, and strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong technical writing, reporting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
