About the Role

The Senior Shift Analyst will utilise detailed & specific knowledge to provide a 24/7 support environment for the availability & monitoring of processing milestones for  computer systems and applications at the ANZ Bank. Role Type: Permanent, Full-time 
Role Location: MDC 100 Eastwood, Quezon City 
Work Hours: 12-hour shifts / Shifting Schedules 
02:30 - 14:30 and 14:30 - 02:30 with a maximum of 4 shifts in a row. 
Work Setup : Rotating 12 hours shifts covering 24/7 with an 8 day break every fourth week (Ability to work in a rotating shift schedule is a must)  

What will your day look like?

The Senior Shift Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

 

  • Providing a high level of service to minimise downtime and transaction loss on all ANZ Bank's operational systems & interfaces 
  • Ensuring all production processing milestones are met, escalating to NZ Service Manager when there are delays or system outages 
  • Provide 24/7 monitoring of Mainframe and Distributed infrastructure and Application Systems 
  • Execute and monitor production (e.g., scheduling, execution, reruns, cancellations, hold & release and reporting of Batch Jobs) 
  • Monitor Payment File Transfers, identifying any issues to ensure milestones are met 
  • Performing service & incident restoration tasks as required, escalating to when necessary 
  • Respond to all messages and alerts requiring intervention and action 
  • Respond to business inquiries in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Collaborate with other IT groups to resolve complex issues in the incident tracking system, work closely with other teams to ensure smooth system functionality 
  • Working collaboratively and contributing to decision making within the team to deliver common goals 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

 

  • Proven years of Mainframe MVS operating or equivalent 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of job management systems including JCL, JES2 and  Control M 
  • Knowledge of software that manages networks such as Netview or Solve 
  • Knowledge of online transaction processing systems such as CICS and MQ 
  • Experience in batch monitoring and scheduling tools 
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled system shutdown and start up (IPL) under guidance 
  • Well-developed data analysis, communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent problem solving & analytical skills, able to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions 
  • Ability to learn & adapt to changes in technologies 
  • Ability to work in a team environment is a must as is working independently when required
