About Us

At ANZ, we're applying new ways technology and data can be harnessed as we work towards a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced technology leader to join our Employee Experience Technology team and help shape the future of ANZ’s operations in Manila. As a Chapter Lead, you’ll support and grow Manila-based technology teams, ensuring strong delivery alignment with New Zealand priorities and enabling great outcomes for our people and customers. This is an influential role that blends people leadership, operational delivery, and continuous improvement — all within a collaborative, cross regional environment.

Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
Role Location: MDC 100 Building, Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City
Work Hours: This role will follow NZ shifts

What will your day look like?

As a Chapter Lead, you will:

  • Lead and support Manila-based engineering teams delivering Employee Experience platforms and services.
  • Ensure strong alignment and delivery across Manila and New Zealand, supporting clear prioritisation and seamless collaboration.
  • Build a high-performance culture driven by learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a local escalation and leadership point, fostering strong team engagement and supporting people development.
  • Partner with NZ technology leaders to embed safe, compliant, and efficient operations aligned with ANZ values.
  • Support onboarding, HR processes, and day-to-day operational needs to ensure Manila teams are set up for success.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, service uplift, and operational excellence.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Must have:

  • Proven experience in leading engineering or technology teams, ideally in large-scale or financial services environments.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing teams.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across regions, cultures, and organisational levels.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise technology environments (hardware, software, service operations).
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, improve processes, and reduce operational risk.
  • A customer first mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Good to have:

  • Experience leading or supporting change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies.

You’re a great fit for this role if you…

  • Enjoy leading diverse and being part of distributed teams.
  • Thrive in fast-moving environments where you can create clarity and momentum.
  • Are energised by building strong team culture and helping people grow.
  • Want to make a meaningful impact on how ANZ employees experience technology every day.

You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.
