As a Home Lending Manager in our Branch & Home Lending team, you’ll play a key role in leading, coaching, and developing a team of home lenders - supporting them to understand and meet a wide range of home loan needs and ensure outstanding customer experience at every step of the home buyer's journey.

As a Home Lending Manager, you are accountable for:

 

  • Champion the customer experience and lead the team to deliver exceptional service at each step of the home buyer’s journey.
  • Driving Personal Banking home loan objectives and momentum, helping the team to effectively and efficiently serve customer needs.
  • Manage the team home loan pipeline and ensure deals are triaged to the most appropriate home lender - balancing customer experience, workload, and development opportunities for lenders
  • Ensure quality of home loans processed, helping to workshop loans and acting as a day-to-day point of escalation, trouble shooting, and quality assurance
  • Promoting and progressing wider home loan strategy, priorities and change
  • Ensure customers are educated on ways to bank, driving take-up of self-service channels
  • Develop home lenders at all levels of experience and expertise – supporting team members to identify and progress next steps, areas for growth and development opportunities.
  • Provide on the job training and coaching to the team, acting as a source of technical expertise and practical advice

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Strong people leadership, and ability to coach, and develop experienced lenders
  • Strong ability to create a customer centric culture and foster exceptional service to a wider range of home loan customers – from first home buyers, business owners to investors.
  • Advanced credit knowledge, holding the appropriate CAD required to support the needs of the team and ability to understand and coach complex lending interactions.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with the home buying journey and industry – with deep understanding of the bank’s credit policy, risk appetite, and pricing framework
  • Strong understanding of business lending requirements, cashflow and the bank’s credit assessment systems, and processes (e.g. LA & Biz Cat)
  • Strong collaboration skills to workshop complex requirements with Credit & Pricing teams to support customer acquisition
  • Leader in new business acquisition and driver of community activity with proven ability to source new deals and ability to win business.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with other leaders and teams across ANZ to unite people towards a common goal and purpose
