About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Operations, you will provide meaningful information and insights to help inform business decisions in order to meet compliance and regulatory requirements. This is done by bringing technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of data, analysing patterns and trends and transforming it into consumable reports for stakeholders.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
What will your day look like?
- Analysing data to identify optimisation opportunities and market opportunities using statistical and modelling techniques
- Sourcing, joining and deriving insights from disparate data sources across multiple bank systems
- Defining and conducting tests to validate that data is fit for purpose
- Support Senior stakeholders to understand the rewards and inherit risks in solutions identified to improve the customer experience and business growth
- Generating, monitoring, presenting and analysing relevant insights, costs, benefits, and risks for customers, clients and cohort products - this could include business casing, what if scenarios and opportunity sizing & assessments
- Ensuring that data is managed in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Maturing the role by educating and coaching peers on data analyst techniques and principles
- Working in collaboration with Senior Leaders, Team Managers and Operators to design fit for purpose tracking and workflow tools to uplift customer and banker experiences
- Creating new or adopting existing models/frameworks to support BU/function requirements.
- Process re-engineering to enable a seamless and positive customer experience
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong data design skills and understanding of relational and reporting schemas and other database concepts
- Knowledge of ANZ data repositories and standards
- Ability to translate quantitative and qualitative information and relay insights through narratives and visual means
- Able to define, plan and execute testing of data with proven ability to work with large data sets
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to all stakeholders (translate technical into non-technical and vice-versa)
- Experience identifying, analysing and resolving data quality issues
- Strong data visualisation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Quality Assurance - Ensuring the quality and viability of working solutions through quality practices and rigorous testing with a customer centric focus
- Solution Design - Designing technical and non-technical solutions to resolve a problem or meet a customer need.
- Systems Analysis - Translating business requirements into IT solutions by understanding needs, feasibility and impact
- Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or other relevant qualification
