About the Role

As the Head of Markets PNG, you will drive execution of the Markets PNG strategic priorities across sales and trading in alignment with the Markets strategy. You will also lead the local Balance Sheet business with responsibility for managing the liquidity requirements of ANZ PNG whilst adhering to Group Policy and to the Bank of PNG regulatory requirements as applicable. The non-Traded responsibilities include management of the interest rate risk of ANZ PNG together with the efficient management of the non-traded FX risk.

In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of the PNG Markets business, working in collaboration with the Markets Sales Australia & PNG and Balance Sheet leadership teams, as well as regional stakeholders. You will lead the sales team to develop, originate and structure foreign exchange risk management and transactional solutions for customers. You will demonstrate the ANZ behaviours necessary to provide a balanced outcome across high performance, risk and customer outcomes.

What will your day look like?

• Achieve PNG FX sales CAF targets, Balance Sheet financial targets within approved risk parameters
• Apply prudent cost management across the Markets PNG team
• Demonstrate thought leadership and proactivity in ensuring strategic initiatives and industry related changes are executed
• Work and connect with relationship, product partners and global Markets stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding and management of the client portfolio
• Work with multiple stakeholders across relationship, technology, risk and credit to deliver business-critical products and projects
• Work with enablement partners in Risk and Credit to understand, identify and mitigate risks within the PNG Markets portfolio
• Develop and manage the performance of the PNG Markets team; promote and develop the team to cross-skill, improve client coverage and improve productivity
