About the Role

As an Assistant Manager, Corporate Centre, you will assist the Corporate Centre Manager by ensuring the accurate and secure completion of customer banking transactions, as well as overseeing daily cash reconciliation and adherence to cash retention limits within the Corporate Centre team. You will also act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance and support to Priority Tellers to ensure service excellence and operational consistency.

 

As a team leader you will:

 

  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards are consistently met, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement with the customer at the core.
  • Oversee the accurate reconciliation and management of cash across the Corporate Centre.
  • Assist with training initiatives and quality assurance across the Corporate Centre team, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Take ownership of Non-Financial Risk, promoting risk-based decision-making while considering financial, reputational, and local market risks.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Identify opportunities to reduce the time it takes to complete tasks (time to complete a request end to end minimising cost)
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation of cash balances and adherence to daily and insured cash retention limits.
  • Completing enquiries and requests from PNG Customers and Bankers accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensuring customer communications are easy to understand and are followed up to ensure timely response from customers. supporting a positive customer experience.
  • Adhering to or exceeding the service level agreements (SLA)
  • Working collaboratively with processing teams and key stakeholders, to ensure we meet the customers’ expectations

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven people leadership experience and/or at experience of rich Banking and Cash management experience
  • Knowledge of bank’s non-financial risk framework and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to pivot and multitask in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, interpersonal and team working skills
  • Ability to work independently, attention to detail and capacity to deliver to deadlines.
  • Well-versed in MS Office tools and applications
