ANZ Private caters to ANZ's highest net worth individuals and family groups, assisting them to manage, grow and preserve their assets. We provide our clients with a personalised relationship and holistic solutions tailored to their values, aspirations, needs and concerns and their financial situation.

In this Associate Private Banker role, you will be co-managing a portfolio with Senior Private Banker, of clients with deposit, lending (Retail & Commercial), investment and personal banking needs. You will be the primary relationship contact supported by Specialists enabling timely and relevant solutions for all your clients’ needs.

What will your day look like?

As an Associate Private Banker, you will be accountable for:

• Financial and portfolio management - Supporting margin optimisation and the growth and retention of Total Revenue & FUM across lending, deposit, and investment solutions
• Lending, deposits, and specialist referral - Managing day to day lending and deposit activities aligned to client needs, while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance client outcomes through referral to ANZ Private specialists
• Client experience - Providing responsive and proactive client support through disciplined but personal engagement, encouraging self service adoption where appropriate, and contributing to NPS and client satisfaction outcomes
• External network and deal origination - Actively engaging external referral networks to identify proprietary lending and investment opportunities and support broader business development
• Risk, compliance, and governance - Ensuring all solutions are appropriate and compliant with Credit, Code of Conduct, and NFR requirements, with strict adherence to mandatory learning and system use
• Collaboration and continuous improvement - Working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimal outcomes, while embracing change and contributing to ongoing personal and team development

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Experience across Lending, Advice and Cash Management
• Sound understanding of credit, risk, and compliance requirements across Retail and Commercial lending solutions
• Proven ability to manage daily client requests with accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail
• Relationship skills with the ability to engage both clients and external referral networks
• Commercial acumen to identify opportunities to grow FUM and introduce specialist solutions
• Stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Proactive, adaptable mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and high performance
