About the Role
The purpose of this role is to partner with the Senior Relationship Credit Manager to support a portfolio of Property & Health customers across all aspects of customer service, credit analysis, compliance, and portfolio management.
You will contribute to maintaining a well-managed portfolio, delivering high-quality credit outcomes, and supporting deal structuring aligned to ANZ’s risk appetite.

Work Hours: Full Time (40 Hours/Week)
What will your day look like?
As an Assistant Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Maintaining a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies, procedures, and risk frameworks
- Supporting the management of a portfolio of Property & Health customers
- Proactively developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of customers’ businesses, financial performance, and industry dynamics
- Undertaking credit analysis, including financial modelling, cash flow analysis (ICR/DSCR), and risk assessment
- Supporting the preparation of credit submissions, annual reviews, and ongoing portfolio monitoring
- Identifying and assessing credit risk, and contributing to structuring transactions aligned with risk appetite
- Maintaining control of workflows across compliance, credit, and customer fulfilment processes
- Acting in the best interest of the customer and applying a customer-centric approach
- Providing appropriate solutions for customer requests, including facility structuring and account maintenance
- Collaborating with Product Partners, Risk, and Operations to deliver customer outcomes
- Building knowledge of Property & Health sectors, including market trends and key risk drivers
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Credit Analysis: Ability to assess a customer’s ability to meet obligations, including financial analysis, cash flow modelling, and understanding of capital structures
- Portfolio Management: Ability to support and manage a portfolio in line with risk and return objectives
- Customer Solutioning: Understanding customer needs and delivering appropriate banking solutions
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret financial and non-financial data to inform decisions
- Risk Awareness: Strong understanding of credit risk and compliance frameworks
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationship.
- Experience in commercial / mid-market banking, ideally within Property and/or Health sectors
- Exposure to structured lending and deal execution
- Tertiary qualification in finance, business, or a related discipline
