The Assistant Manager role is critical to making this happen. In this role, you will:

 

  • Assist the Relationship Manager to develop sustained business growth while maintaining sound risk management to ensure a quality portfolio is maintained
  • Conduct analysis of clients’ financial statements
  • Complete annual reviews of financial performance and lending facilities
  • Support clients with internet banking, credit cards, merchant facilities, and other electronic transactions

Work Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

What will your day look like?

 

Your typical day may involve:

  • Supporting the Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily operations
  • Monitoring team performance and ensuring targets, SLAs, or KPIs are met
  • Assisting with task allocation, workflow management, and prioritisation
  • Acting as a point of contact for team queries and escalating issues where required
  • Preparing reports, tracking progress, and providing updates to stakeholders
  • Supporting process improvements and implementing best practices
  • Coaching and guiding team members to help them perform at their best

You’ll play an active role in keeping operations running efficiently while contributing ideas to improve outcomes.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Great financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial and business acumen,
• Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends,
• Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer delivery/ customer experience role,
• Sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements,
• Experience in the banking industry is an advantage, but not a requirement, and
• Preferably possesses an accounting or finance degree or equivalent, though not a strict requirement.
