As Director, Relationship Management in France, you will play a leading role in managing and growing ANZ's relationships with French corporate and institutional clients. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will deepen existing partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver strategic banking solutions that support client objectives while generating sustainable returns for ANZ.

 

Working closely with product, risk, and coverage teams across the bank, you will lead complex transactions, drive client strategy and execution, and maintain a well-managed portfolio through disciplined credit risk management and governance. You will also contribute to a high-performing, collaborative culture, leveraging ANZ's global network and capabilities to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.

What will your day look like?

As Director for Relationship Management in France, you will: 

 

  • Develop and execute client acquisition and growth strategies, identifying new-to-bank opportunities and expanding wallet share with existing customers through proactive relationship management and targeted business development.
  • Lead complex client engagements and transactions, bringing together specialists from across Markets, Transaction Banking, and Corporate Finance to deliver integrated, customer-focused solutions.
  • Develop a network of contacts which will assist in achieving overall business strategy of sourcing new business, maximising existing business and increasing competitiveness.
  • Review credit memoranda and diary notes to ensure that all risk inherent in credit exposures and other risks are identified and assessed.
  • Ensure the client set is well managed including credit risk across the customer base.
  • Exercise Relationship Credit Approval Discretion as appropriate. (not relevant externally)
  • Champion ANZ’s values consistently with a commitment to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and colleagues.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

 

  • Deep institutional banking and client leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage large, complex customer relationships and delivering sustainable growth across sophisticated portfolios.
  • Ability to conduct detailed account planning in a collaborative and effective manner including identification of cross-sell opportunities across whole of bank and development of customer strategies/solutions.
  • Native or fluent French language skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and engage effectively with senior executives, treasury teams and key decision-makers across France.
  • Relationship management experience within French Corporates.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance client relationship growth with disciplined risk management.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and lead across diverse stakeholder environments, to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Maintain strong networks across the corporate and banking communities.
  • Previous experience in Risk and Analysis and / or Transaction Banking would be advantageous.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is Euros 150,000 to 175,000 annual.

 

This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role.  The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
