The Senior Manager Home Lending roles are newly established senior leadership positions within ANZ’s Customer Engagement function. These roles are responsible for leading and shaping proprietary home lending growth across the region, with a strong focus on customer outcomes and performance.
You’ll work in close partnership with our Home Lending Hubs, Branch Area Managers, and a broad range of cross-functional and regional leaders to drive sustainable growth through innovation and teamwork. Through strong leadership and influence, you’ll help embed best practice and deliver outcomes that support both our customers and our people.
Your focus will be on achieving strong business performance, championing fair and consistent customer outcomes, and driving operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in implementing growth strategies, lifting capability, and building a collaborative, high-performing workforce that supports the evolving home lending and small business needs of our communities.

Role Location: As this role provides leadership across the Northern region, we are open to candidates based in any key city across the North Island, (including Auckland). Note, the Northern region includes the entire North Island outside of Auckland.

The Senior Manager Home Lending position is a dynamic and impactful role with a broad range of responsibilities. Some of your day-to-day activities may include the below:
- Lead regional growth by shaping and delivering strategies that grow proprietary home lending and create standout, customer‑first experiences aligned to ANZ’s 2030 ambition.
- Influence and collaborate at scale, partnering with Branch Area Managers, Home Lending Hubs, and senior cross‑functional leaders to drive momentum, innovation, and shared success.
- Build and inspire high‑performing teams, creating a strong leadership culture grounded in accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement, and a growth mindset.
- Drive operational excellence, leveraging digital tools and smart ways of working to lift productivity, close performance gaps, and deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
- Deliver sustainable results, achieving regional growth and retention targets through responsible lending, strong risk management, and unwavering focus on fair customer outcomes.
- Bring outside‑in thinking, sharing best practice and fresh insights to help shape a market‑leading home lending capability and influence broader business improvement.
