ANZ NZ is delivering a multiyear transformation to modernise and digitise its Funds Management business. The programme aims to reduce operating costs and improve customer experience.
We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. The ideal candidate will have worked in the investments, kiwisaver, and funds management industry, and will have technical experience in channels, integration, legacy modernisation, security, and risk. This role will shape future funds management solutions, ensuring they are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Role Location: This role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington. Let us know what works for you.

As a Solution Architect in our Enterprise Architecture team, you will:
- Partner with business stakeholders and vendors to design customer‑centric solutions across channels and integration.
- Shape the future by creating high‑level solution designs, models, option assessments, and future‑state architectures.
- Evaluate and recommend solution options that align with strategic goals, architecture principles, and target platforms.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects across the group to embed best practices, patterns, and reusable solutions.
- Lead key architecture decisions and develop patterns that can be reused across the organisation.
- Engage and influence stakeholders by clearly communicating architecture designs and guiding them through governance and approval.
- Work as part of a collaborative, cross‑disciplinary architecture team and the wider engineering and customer experience community.
- Play a key role in shaping and delivering the funds management technology roadmap.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical solution options.
- Experience shaping solution direction in medium to large organisations, including modernising complex legacy environments.
- The ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative leadership style and a natural fit within high‑performing technology teams.
- Solid experience with modern integration technologies, such as APIs, microservices, event‑driven architecture, and secure SaaS integration.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks and design practices, including TOGAF, BIAN, domain‑driven design, service design, and architecture patterns.
- Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- A strong awareness of cybersecurity, identity, and security standards relevant to channels and integration.
