Mō te tūranga - About the role
As the Senior Manager, Cards Uplift Programme within ANZ’s Retail Products team, you will support a significant, programme to reshape our credit and debit card propositions across both personal and business segments. This includes uplifting back-end technology, product and proposition change and enhancing the end-to-end experience for customers from digital channels through to human supported interactions.
Reporting to the General Manager, Retail Products and sitting on the Retail Products Leadership Team, you will take accountability for the successful delivery of the Cards Uplift programme. This includes ensuring the work is clearly scoped, well sequenced, and delivered at pace while staying aligned to ANZ’s strategic priorities and meeting the needs of Personal Bank, Business and Agri, and Institutional stakeholders.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
As the Senior Manager, Cards Uplift Programme, you will be responsible for delivering meaningful improvements to ANZ’s cards offering and customer experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide end to end support of the Cards Uplift programme, including oversight of scope, funding, delivery and value realisation
- Lead programme planning and execution from discovery through to delivery and reporting, ensuring outcomes are delivered at pace and at scale
- Balance and prioritise work across Personal, Business and Agri, and Institutional to meet diverse stakeholder needs
- Identify, assess and manage risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to delivery
- Work closely with Delivery and Change to ensure consistent ways of working and strong execution across initiatives
- Partner across Technology, Marketing, Customer Experience and senior leadership to drive aligned and effective delivery

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Deep experience leading complex programmes or projects, ideally within financial services or banking
- A strong track record of delivering large scale, technology enabled initiatives, from planning through to execution and benefits realisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively at executive level
- Leadership capability to align and mobilise cross functional teams, creating clarity, direction and shared ownership
- Commercial acumen and sound judgement, with the ability to navigate complexity and make informed decisions
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the adaptability to respond to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Previous experience in a Cards or Payments position would be valuable
