As a Senior Design Researcher you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital experiences. You’ll lead research that uncovers customer behaviours, needs, and motivations, ensuring our digital banking experiences deliver real value for both customers and the business.

Role Location: Wellington or Auckland
Work Hours: 37.5 hours with flexibility available
Ka aha tō rā e kite ai - What will your day look like
As a Senior Design Researcher you will:
- Run the entire end-to-end research process - guiding, planning and delivering research that identifies the most important actions to deliver both customer and business value
- Advocate for design thinking by bringing actionable customer insights and data to the decision table.
- Identify key themes, trends and best practice, and create design artefacts that tell these stories in an impactful way
- Provide research advice and support to designers and stakeholders, ensuring best practice is applied.
- Champion inclusive and ethical design principles across all research activities.
- Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders, bringing them along on the discovery journey.

You are passionate about understanding people and creating experiences that are truly human-focused. You thrive on sharing insights that drive meaningful change and have a knack for making the complex simple and actionable. You will have:
- Years’ of experience in design research, including both generative and evaluative methods.
- Deep knowledge of research methodologies and tools, and the ability to select the right approach for each challenge.
- A track record of delivering insights that influence and improve customer experiences.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
- A commitment to ethical, inclusive, and accessible design practices.
