Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

As a Platform Manager for MarTech, you’ll be at the centre of shaping our Marketing Technology, Data and Analytics platforms. This role focuses on delivering seamless operations and integration across our data-driven initiatives, with a strong emphasis on creating meaningful outcomes for customers and stakeholders. You’ll work with cutting-edge tools to support purposeful engagement and measurable impact, helping to build a future-ready marketing technology landscape.

 

You’ll also lead a talented and engaged engineering team, supporting their growth and encouraging collaboration. By creating an environment where people feel empowered and inspired, you’ll guide the team in implementing and managing our platforms with confidence. Together, you’ll prioritise customer satisfaction and deliver solutions that make a genuine difference.

 

Role Location: This role is based in Wellington or Auckland.

Role Type: Permanent

Hours: Standard 37.5 hours per week

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Overseeing the development and operations of our Marketing Technology, Data and Analytics platforms to ensure seamless functionality and continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to shape and refine the platform backlog
  • Partnering with delivery teams to design, build and run fault-tolerant capabilities that meet business needs
  • Leading site reliability engineering practices and defining roadmaps to strengthen system resilience
  • Managing incident response through to resolution, maintaining high standards of operational excellence
  • Ensuring platform integrity and timely delivery of features that support customer and business outcomes
  • Creating a supportive and collaborative team culture that encourages growth and innovation
  • Maintaining technical standards and guiding the team to consistently apply best practices
  • Building strong relationships across business and technical teams to align goals and priorities
  • Overseeing team capacity and development to ensure performance and wellbeing are balanced

To thrive and excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

 

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, trust and support
  • Clear and confident communication, with the ability to document processes and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset, working closely with subject matter experts and delivery teams to prioritise customer, stakeholder and business outcomes
  • Strong knowledge across multiple operating systems, especially within Data, Cloud and Marketing platforms
  • Experience in Agile ways of working, with a focus on outcomes, adaptability and teamwork
  • A solid understanding of DevOps practices, Site Reliability Engineering and Infrastructure as Code
  • Confidence in managing change, incident and problem processes to support operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • A thoughtful approach to compliance, ensuring all work aligns with regulatory, legislative and audit requirements
