We’re excited by user experience/interface and are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Experience Designer to assist in defining and creating beautiful experiences that delight our customers.
Role Type: 18 Months
Role Location: Wellington or Auckland
Work Hours: 37.5 Hrs
Ka aha tō rā e kite ai - What will your day look like
- Contribute and work on digital projects, bringing your UX and UI design skills to the fore.
- Assist in the use of research and analytics insights to inform, prototype and validate design solutions iteratively across digital channels.
- Assist and support in crafting and delivering design artefacts that are high quality, consistent, coherent and align with our digital design strategy and design systems.
- Utilise and contribute to ANZ’s design system
- Follow design advice, guidance and support from other designers to ensure best practice is applied
- Follow and champion design thinking by bringing customer insights and data to the decision table
- Follow inclusive design principles especially accessibility across design projects and initiatives
- Work collaboravely with partners and stakeholders to bring them along on the design journey with you
Ōu Pūkenga - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A solid foundation of the many facets of design and design thinking
- Years of experience undertaking user experience and user interface design activities
- Experience in user interface design, visual design, prototyping, interaction design, usability testing, concept generation, are able to analyse and synthesise insights.
- Knowledge of design systems, their application and contribution to them.
- A working knowledge of designing inclusively with a focus on digital accessibility.
- A working knowledge of a range of design tools including Adobe CC, Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure and Abstract or other similar tools, whilst being open and adaptive to new trends and technologies.
- A good understanding of web and mobile technologies.
- The ability to follow direction in project planning.
- Clear communication, documentation and presentation skills.
- A fascination with how customers experience products and services and a hunger to improve those experiences
- The ability to develop collaborative relationships - communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A great work ethic, proactive and positive mindset.
