About the Role
As a Senior Officer, Trade and Supply Chain Services you will be working closely with Relationship Managers, TB Sales, and Hub teams to ensure daily Trade and Supply Chain transactions (including Import/Export LCs, Standby LCs and Supply Chain Finance) are completed on time and customer expectations are met. You will provide external and internal customers quality services including production of accurate reporting and resolution of any system and data issues. In addition, the role will provide coverage within the Trade Operations team and assist in billing, operational projects and initiatives

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Officer, Trade and Supply Chain Services, you will:

Provide excellent customer service by timely processing of transactions, prompt response to inquiries and regular follow ups via customer visits or calls.

Understand our Trade customers’ needs and provide operational insights and solutions to meet their specific Trade processing requirements resulting in better customer experience.

Monitor daily work queues both via Digital Service Desk and Outlook to ensure timely and accurate handling of transactions, including Digital Service Desk case management

Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with internal trade policies, procedures or any other governing rules such as UCP 600, ISP98. Sanctions policies are to be applied to all transactions and issues escalated in accordance with the Trade Escalation Policy.

Contribute to improvement of existing processes and procedures in terms of effectiveness (quality, accuracy, reliability, and etc.) and/or efficiency (cost, timeliness, and etc.).

Record and assist in resolution of issues (including errors, complaints, revenue reversals and etc.) in accordance with the Trade Escalation Procedure and Trade Instruction Manual.

Develop and maintain good working relationships with Hub staff, Trade Operations counterparts, Trade Sales, Trade Product, Relationship Managers and other key stakeholders.

Help to identify new risks and strengthen controls to minimize operational loss.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Relevant working experience in Trade Operation with a customer service focus and experience working under a SPOKE and HUB operating model

Good Knowledge of Trade products, Supply Chain (receivable and payable), Import and Export LCs, especially Guarantees /Standby LCs language and processing (including thorough knowledge of International Chamber of Commerce Publications relative to Guarantees and SBLCs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

CDCS (Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists) and/or CSDG (Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees) a plus

Excellent Customer service skills with some basic sales knowledge to identify referral opportunities to the Sales Team.

Strong IT and Microsoft office skills for billing, reporting, record keeping, and presenting with the ability to learn and utilise new bank systems quickly and efficiently (Trade360, MIDANZ and Razor core systems interface, as well as Trade Transactive Portal a plus)

Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues involved in complex transactions and develop solutions to meet business and /or customer needs

Able to work under pressure and perform time management to deliver priorities

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
