As a Senior Attorney, you will be part of the Institutional Legal Group of ANZ America. ANZ America is a dynamic environment, we sit side-by-side with our Institutional business partners in Corporate, Markets, Trade and Financial Institutions.
This role will be responsible to
-
Draft loan and trade documents, side letters, consents, waivers, and other core business documents such as officers and secretary’s certificates, powers of attorney, and corporate closing materials.

Experience with trade letters of credit and reimbursement agreements is a plus.

Provide general legal advice in connection with corporate law and governance, regulatory issues, contract law, UCC/security interests, and related matters

Liaise with external counsel when necessary to ensure the delivery of cost efficient and high quality legal service

Schedule and attend board meetings of a wholly-owned subsidiary; and collaborate with Credit and Operating Risk & Compliance stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective risk management.

Role Type: Full Time, 5 months fixed term contract from July 10, 2023 to November 10, 2023
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring many of the following:

Proven experience as a corporate associate with a recognized global law firm or the
-
equivalent within a major banking institution
-
Proven experience with corporate transactions including bank financings, credit facilities, letters of credit and trade financing, and related documentation including, for example, confidentiality agreements, and corporate governance

An ability to engage in extensive self-driven learning and development on the job
-
Strong sense of personal responsibility and diligence in all that you do
-
Member of the New York bar is preferred, but not essential for this temporary role
-
Ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment in an accurate, calm and timely manner with the ability to reprioritize work to meet changing demands

Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels including senior management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Team-focused with a flexible attitude and the willingness to “go the extra mile”

Common sense is a must, and a sense of humour is a plus

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is USD 175,000 to USD 200,000, which will be pro-rated for this temporary assignment.
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
