About the Role
As a Senior Associate, Research and Analysis in our Institutional team, you’ll manage a dynamic portfolio of International Banking clients, with a primary focus on the Technology sector and secondary coverage across Diversified Industries. You’ll play a critical role in identifying and evaluating risks across business models, capital structures, and financial performance, delivering high-quality credit papers and well-structured risk mitigation strategies.
Your insights will drive sound credit recommendations and proactive portfolio monitoring, while your collaboration with Relationship Managers, Risk, and Product Partners will ensure seamless execution and alignment across stakeholders.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Associate Research & Analysis, USA, your responsibilities will include:
- Drive financial outcomes by supporting revenue growth and optimising RWA across the TMET and Diversified Industries portfolios.
- Join client and internal meetings with Relationship Managers to deepen understanding of customer business models and industry trends.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure relevant, up-to-date segment knowledge and customer-aligned insights.
- Contribute to strategic growth plans, supporting new transactions and managing challenging credits.
- Expand industry expertise through active participation in forums, working groups, and sector discussions.
- Maintain portfolio credit quality within agreed risk appetite, ensuring timely reviews and a strong first line of defense.
- Deliver high-quality credit recommendations based on deep research, disciplined analysis, and adherence to credit policies.
- Ensure compliance with ANZ’s credit frameworks and contribute to successful audit outcomes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and propose practical solutions for efficiency gains.
- Collaborate across ANZ’s global network, ensuring seamless client management and knowledge sharing.
- Support team success through active participation, coordination, and contribution to the NY Corporate team.
- Own your development journey, continuously building skills, insights, and leadership capabilities.
- Uphold integrity and compliance, maintaining strong partnerships with Risk and ensuring timely risk monitoring.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
- Proven experience in risk analysis across Institutional and Large Corporate clients
- Strong understanding of banking products, loan structures, trade finance, and global markets
- Strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk and reward effectively
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence across diverse teams
- Sound judgment and disciplined application of credit policies and risk frameworks
- High standards of integrity and alignment with compliance and regulatory expectations
- Highly motivated and self-directed team player with a collaborative approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $145,000
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
