About the Role
As a Manager, Trade and Supply Chain Services in our Institutional Trade Services you will work closely with Transaction Banking Sales and Hub teams to ensure that Supply Chain Finance Transactions are processed within agreed turnaround time, acceptable risk and compliance parameters. You will also provide support and coverage for other Core Trade Products (including Import/Export LCs, and Standby LCs) to ensure all daily activities are completed on time, as well as assist Senior Manager with administrative management functions, deliver changes and drive automation within the Trade and Supply Chain Operations team.

What will your day look like?
As a Manager, Trade and Supply Chain Services, you will:

Provide exceptional customer service and identify cross sell opportunities by developing and maintaining good customer relationships.

Assist with the development and maintenance of a customer focussed environment offering flexible, simple and easy to deal service

Providing advice to customers on Trade related activity.

Monitoring daily work queues both via DSD and Outlook to ensure timely and accurate handling of transactions, including DSD case management.

Ensure all transactions are to be processed in accordance with internal trade policies, procedures or any other governing rules such as UCP 600, ISP98. Sanctions policies are to be applied to all transactions and issues escalated in accordance with the Trade Escalation Policy.

Breakdown & process of shipping documents in accordance with UCP 600 governing rule.

Maintaining effective and efficient records and filing of transactions.

Report any transaction which is suspected to be in connection with money laundering, fraud or terrorist financing

Develop and maintain good working relationships with Hub staff, Trade Operations counterparts, Trade Sales, Trade Product, Relationship Managers and other key stakeholders.

Have clear understanding of risks posed within trade products Managing risks and controls within the business area, promoting awareness and ensuring any concerns are escalated accordingly
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Good Knowledge of Trade products, Supply Chain (receivable and payable), Import and Export LCs, especially Guarantees /Standby LCs language and processing (including Thorough knowledge of International Chamber of Commerce Publications relative to Guarantees and SBLCs. CDCS (Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists) a plus

Strong experience in Trade Operation with a customer service focus and experience working under a SPOKE and HUB operating model

A good understanding of customers’ needs’ and drivers in relation to their international business. Excellent Customer service skills with basic selling skills to leverage customer contacts to identify referral opportunities to the Sales Team.

Strong IT and Microsoft office skills for reporting, record keeping, and presenting with the ability to learn and utilise new bank systems quickly and efficiently (Trade360, MIDANZ and Razor core systems interface, as well as Trade Transactive Portal a plus)

Strong analytical and problem solving skills to enable identification of issues involved in complex business problems and to develop acceptable solutions for the business

Able to work under pressure and perform time management to deliver priorities

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
