About the Role
As an Associate Relationship Manager within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in New York, you will support a team of senior coverage bankers across FIG’s industry verticals to drive business revenue and optimise returns from a portfolio of FIG clients through the implementation and execution of the Global FIG strategy. Prior experience in the FIG sector, relationship management or Research & Analysis is preferable; however, a strong work ethic, the right values and the ability to learn quickly are equally important. You will be supported by a dynamic and experienced team, with structured development designed to enable you to progress into a high‑performing coverage banker within FIG.
Your key responsibilities will include supporting the coverage bankers in client relationship management including onboarding & KYC, direct deal engagement and execution. You will have a keen interest in developing competency in lending, transaction banking, financial markets and structured finance capabilities of relevance to the Financial Institutions sector, which they will use in the execution of their responsibilities. You will develop and maintain internal relationships with key stakeholders including product partners, their FI team counterparts around the globe as the segment continues to deliver an efficient global account coverage program.

What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to acquire new clients and identify new business opportunities with product partners.
- Retain and grow profitable client relationships by consistently delivering high‑quality service and exceeding client expectations.
- Up‑tier client relationships and ensure an appropriate revenue mix across the portfolio.
- Assist in originating, structuring, evaluating, and executing prospective transactions and mandates.
- Collaborate closely with product specialists, enablement teams, and risk partners to deepen relationships and win business.
- Build strong credit, capital management, compliance, and process management capabilities in partnership with Research & Analysis, Product, and Credit teams.
- Demonstrate strong risk awareness, providing transparent and thoughtful risk assessments in line with Bank policies and standards.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, fostering strong engagement across various internal teams.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- Prior experience in the financial services industry is advantageous, with exposure to Financial Institutions Group (FIG) preferred but not mandatory.
- A strong team player with the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients at a senior level.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, combined with sound analytical thinking and a willingness to learn quickly.
- A tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Finance is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is US$110,000 – 125,000 annual
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
