About the Role
As an Associate, Local Market FX Trader, you will support the build‑out of ANZ’s FX capabilities, with a focus on G10 FX and Local Markets Currency trading. This role contributes to delivering incremental financial results while supporting the wider Markets Trading and Sales business. Working closely with Senior Traders, you will support market‑making and risk management across deliverable FX products—including Spot, Forwards and Swaps—with particular to Asian currencies and NDF offerings, helping to monetize opportunities through both voice execution and digital solutions.

What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support the delivery and maximisation of G10 and overall FX Trading revenue.
- Contribute to market‑making across deliverable FX products, including Spot, Forwards and Swaps, with agility to support NDF coverage as required.
- Work closely with Sales and Trading to grow the FX franchise, particularly in deliverable FX, and support achievement of financial targets.
- Manage and monetize external eFX flows, while supporting FX internalisation initiatives to enhance franchise value.
- Monitor evolving client trading patterns using internal trade analysis tools and help implement changes to optimise pricing, flows and internal opportunities.
- Ensure consistent, competitive and timely pricing for both internal and external clients.
- Maintain strong risk awareness and discipline, trading within approved limits and adhering to all internal policies, mandates and regulatory requirements.
- Minimise operational and transactional risks by maintaining robust controls, supporting a strong risk culture.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- Proven currency trading experience with strong background in deliverable currencies across a range of FX products.
- Good risk management skill set and willing to work in high pressure environment.
- Solid knowledge of FX regulatory framework requirements and Global FX Code of Conduct.
- Good understanding of the front to back operations of the trading businesses.
- Strong client services ethic, subject to compliance and regulatory controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is US$95,000 – 135,000 annual
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
