What will your day look like?
As a Director, Transaction Banking, you will:
- Drive Transaction Banking sales performance across Western India, contributing to portfolio growth, revenue, and achievement of targeted returns for the TB business.
- Lead growth in cash management (PCM) with a strong emphasis on CASA expansion through liquidity solutions, collection mandates and operating account wins.
- Originate and grow Trade Finance business, with a focus on supply chain finance opportunities to deepen the portfolio.
- Pursue Transaction Banking opportunities in collaboration with Relationship Managers, Regional Sales, and Market Sales teams across Corporate and MNC clients.
- Develop and execute structured account plans to deepen client relationships, optimise share of wallet, and ensure disciplined account management.
- Drive new client acquisition while expanding existing relationships by understanding client needs and delivering appropriate transaction banking solutions.
- Continuously assess market dynamics and competitor activity, identifying and capitalising on opportunities to strengthen the business franchise.
- Ensure strong risk, compliance, and portfolio quality management, including adherence to regulatory guidelines, audit requirements, and disciplined credit and account oversight.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 10–15 years of experience in corporate or institutional banking, with a strong sales track record and sound domain knowledge of Transaction Banking products, including Trade and Cash, with a strong focus on driving CASA growth through collection mandates
- Experience working with Mumbai-based corporates (West India market); exposure to MNC clients is preferred
- Strong client management and stakeholder handling skills, critical for success in this role
- Good understanding of market trends and the ability to translate insights into actionable business opportunities
- Sound knowledge of regulatory guidelines relevant to Transaction Banking business
- Strong understanding of processes and risks related to Transaction Banking products, with the ability to structure appropriate mitigants (particularly for non-financial risks)
- Demonstrated knowledge of financing structures, techniques, applicable regulations, and a broad understanding of local industries
