About The Role

The purpose of the role is to independently manage credit assessment of a portfolio including, risk control and provide industry insights/analysis, preparing credit memorandum and subsequent portfolio management.

 

The key responsibilities of the role are:

 

Credit Management

 

  • Responsible for credit assessment and risk control for the assigned client groups.
  • Participate and handle discussions with Products, Relationship Manager & Risk on deal structuring and workshopping.
  • Timely preparation of workshop papers and credit memorandum for new proposals and annual/ interim reviews in accordance with the Bank’s standards and policies.
  • Identify issues impacting the customer’s credit standing, seek clarification from customers and formulate action plan to resolve issues promptly.

 

Risk Management

 

Efficiency and effectively manage credit risk by:

 

  • Accurately identifying and assessing all risk inherent in credit exposures and ensuring quality judgements are made.
  • Adhering to Group credit policies and standards regarding approval, reporting and documentation.
  • Ensuring quality and integrity of data and analysis of accounts in the set.
  • Ensuring compliance with group standards and regulatory requirements (including credit policy and approval conditions).

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Extensive experience in Indian banking industry inclusive of relationship banking, analyst, risk or other relevant experience.
  • Solid financial and credit analysis skills and ability to identify risks and understand credit worthiness of customers.
  • Ability to resolve issues that are commonly addressed by applying technical expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Solid modelling skills, including financial projections and sensitivities.
  • Presentation and writing skills, including ability to analyse, question and interpret significant amounts of information that actively develop knowledge of the client and translate into concise credit memos.
  • Good attention to detail particularly with respect to credit administration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and Managerial skills to lead and mentor an analyst team.
  • Ability to work as a team and provide support across the team when required.
