About the Role


As a Senior Business Analyst  in our Team, you’ll play a key role in helping to bring the relevant stakeholder expertise to bear to source, map and land the data required for the ANZ Markets Risk, Finance and Risk Metrics platforms.

This role is intended to also support the Suncorp Bank which is part of the ANZ Group. 

 

 

Role Type: 12 Months Secondment/ 12 Months Fixed Term 

 


Role Location: Melbourne/Sydney

 


Work Hours: Full Time

What will your day look like?

 

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the following.

 


•    Analyse, interpret and translate risk related requirement, functional and systems documentations into clear data requirement requirements
•    Engage with stakeholder groups to understand both stated and unstated needs, including facilitation of sessions with multiple stakeholders including business process owners and SMEs
•    Work across collaborative teams to solve Business, Technology and data problems
•    Ensuring that data is managed in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
•    Prepare documentation that to be used by the delivery team, including the Data Catalogue, Interface Agreements, User Stories, etc.
•    Provide functional consultancy to the team and other delivery partners to ensure the solutions conform to the requirements 
•    Understand the data models and data management processes to ensure a quality data delivery outcome
•    Support the management of project/delivery related risks and regulatory/legal requirements.

 

What will you bring?


 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

 

•    Proficiency in data tools for analysis, data manipulation and presentation (e.g. SAS, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, QlikView / Qliksense, Hive, Impala, Power BI, Excel) 
•    Strong data design skills and understanding of relational and reporting schemas and other database concepts
•    Knowledge of SunCorp Bank data repositories and standards (a bonus)
•    Knowledge of ANZ data repositories and standards 
•    Ability to translate quantitative & qualitative information and relay insights through narratives & visual means 
•    Able to define, plan and execute testing of data 
•    Proven ability to work with large data sets 
•    Ability to effectively communicate and present to all stakeholders (translate technical into non-technical and vice-versa) 
•    Experience identifying, analysing and resolving data quality issues 
•    Good data visualisation skills
•    Tertiary qualifications
