About the Role
Your role as a Financial Crime Strategic Transformation PMO is to work with the Group Financial Crime Program to help:
- Lead the way in innovative, effective and compliant financial crime risk management
- Deliver Project Fortify, which has been established at an enterprise level to centrally manage law reform and regulatory expectations governing Financial Crime & External Fraud risk. In collaboration with the Financial Crime Program and the business, Project Fortify will:
- “Pull the kite strings together” to minimise impact on the business, reduce risk in change and overhead by delivering a coordinated approach to law reform and heighted regulatory expectations.
- Build on the foundations delivered by Accord and learnings from I.AM Amplified and CPS 230, tailoring change only where necessary.
- Where possible, leverage Group and Divisional change initiatives, NFR transformation and drive sustainable embedment.
- Support delivery of strategic outcomes to optimise Financial Crime & External Fraud risk for FY30 and beyond that are aligned with business objectives and the bank we’re building

What will your day look like?
As a Financial Crime Strategic Transformation PMO, you are accountable for:
- Establishing project management office for the Financial Crime Strategic Transformation Program
- Leading the design and supporting delivery of the Financial Crime Optimisation Regulatory Transformation Initiative (Fortify) and Sanctions Uplift Program (SUPA)
- Managing aspects of project delivery, from initial concept through to financial management, release management, change communications, and project closure.
- Advising on strategic trade-off decisions to balance scope, time, cost, and quality.
- Influencing key stakeholders, and where required chair the Cross Divisional Taskforce to achieve the mission and purpose of the Financial Crime Transformation Program
- Building a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative environment, providing professional development, and influencing cultural change to enhance team performance and organizational success.
- Advising the Head of the Financial Crime Strategic Transformation on costs, and key delivery and operational risks, costs for reporting to Board/Committees, as required
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience leading programs within the Financial Services industry preferably in the Financial Crime space
- Leadership skills with experience in mentoring, developing teams, and guiding decision-making at management levels.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and influence across various levels.
- Experience in managing large, complex programs and effectively prioritizing multiple tasks
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a risk mitigation.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
