About the Role
As a Divisional Data & Reporting & Insights Lead, you will support the Retail Controls Office and the Retail Leadership Team with reporting requirements and provide meaningful information, reporting and insights to help inform business decisions and uplift Non-Financial Risk and the Control environment. This role also has accountability for facilitating and co-ordinating AR regulatory attestations (CPS 220 etc) and annual ACL requirements for AR. As a Divisional NFR Reporting & Insights Lead, you will have 3 direct reports. The role is key in helping to understand and improve the Retail Division’s control landscape through analysing, monitoring and reporting systemic issues and proactive insights that can be self-served by stakeholders. In addition, you will monitor and drive remediation of data quality related to the NFR Hub for the Retail Division.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
- Provide leadership and direction for direct and indirect reports, demonstrating personal commitment to coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders in the wider Division and Group to understand the data available and relevant to NFR.
- In conjunction with the Retail Assurance Leads, drive strategic management of risk profiles to ensure a robust risk and control environment
- Oversight and management reporting requirements to ensure requests are managed in a measured approach – balancing capability, capacity, BAU priorities and other priorities.
- Review NFR data and draw insights into the quality of NFR data and identify areas of focus to improve and strengthen the capability of the Retail Controls Office.
- Review monthly NFR related reporting that is both insightful and can be self-served by stakeholders for input into risk forums.
- Produce quarterly thematic NFR insights for input into risk forums.
- Support various programs of work for I.AM Amplified / NFR Hub adoption/CPS230 as it relates to data and reporting .
- Support the execution of the Retail Controls Office strategy for the Retail Division.
- Where required, complete NFR data quality assessments and identify where gaps exist in the data and actions required to uplift and strengthen the NFR data and insights.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strategic thought leadership in navigating &/or understanding of the NFR and data landscape.
- Deep experience in data quality and NFR.
- Experienced user of GRC systems/frameworks, reporting and other tools required to help the business managing non-financial risks (e.g., NFR Hub, I.AM Amplified, TCL, COR, Tableau, Jira, Kanban).
- Experience in one or more of the following domains: digital and technology solutions, innovative data solutions, customer channels and distribution, lending products, transactional products, cloud, data governance, data security, warehousing, reporting and BI solutions.
- Strong analysis skills and ability to synthesize and draw meaningful insights that drive business value.
- Clear, succinct, effective and persuasive verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement and growth mindset – desire to identify, assess and improve the control environment and present risk data in meaningful, timely and innovative ways.
- A willingness to look at things differently and challenge the status quo – and innovate. Able to anticipate and plan for change – take a long-term view of business needs for operational risk management.
- Proven effective and positively engaging people leadership to nurture talent, a ‘culture carrier’ with leadership capability to shape and motivate team demonstrating ANZ’s values and leadership behaviours.
