About the Role

As an Assurance Lead, you will support the Retail Division with uplifting the quality of delivered risk assessments (Non-Financial Risk Assessments - NFRAs) arising from the implementation of business and regulatory change as well as supporting the delivery of NFRAs for changes sponsored by the Retail Controls and Customer Outcomes (CCO) team.

 

Your role is key in ensuring that change initiatives are safely and compliantly delivered into the Retail business and supporting risk profiles, implementing appropriate governance and approval processes over NFRAs and ensuring the business and assurance teams have the required capability to assess delivered risk impacts arising from change initiatives (business and regulatory change). You will also work closely with Group framework owners to further refine the tools, templates and systems used to support the execution of NFRAs.

What will your day look like?

As an Assurance Lead, you will be accountable for:

  • Uplifting the quality and timeliness of delivered risk assessments (Non-Financial Risk Assessments - NFRAs) arising from change initiatives (business change, regulatory change etc.) by driving capability uplift across the business and assurance teams
  • Supporting the delivery of NFRAs for changes sponsored by the CCO Portfolio
  • Developing and refining existing processes, tools and templates to assist with ensuring that changes are safely and compliantly delivered into the business and risk profiles (NFR Hub) across Retail Division
  • Implementing appropriate governance/approval processes with respect to delivered risk assessments within Retail Division
  • Working closely with Group framework owners to further refine the tools, templates and systems used to deliver NFRAs
  • Driving uplifts in the reporting of delivered risk assessments at relevant Retail governance forums.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:

  • Strategic thought leadership in navigating and/or understanding of the NFR and data landscape.
  • Deep experience in NFR and NFRA delivered risk assessments
  • Experienced user of GRC systems/frameworks, reporting and other tools required to help the business managing non-financial risks
  • Strong analysis skills and ability to synthesize and draw meaningful insights that drive business value
  • Clear, succinct, effective and persuasive verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement and growth mindset – desire to identify, assess and improve the control environment and present risk data in meaningful, timely and innovative ways. A willingness to look at things differently and challenge the status quo – and innovate. Able to anticipate and plan for change – take a long-term view of business needs for operational risk management
  • Proven effective and positively engaging people leadership to nurture talent, a ‘culture carrier’ with leadership capability to shape and motivate team demonstrating ANZ’s values and leadership behaviours.
