About the Role
As an Experience Designer your mission is to help design the future of banking and will be working to support the Home Ecosystem value stream. You will be part of our in-house team of designers that create experiences to better support financial wellbeing, and positively impact millions of customers daily.
The newly established Home Ecosystem Value Stream under Innovation, Partnerships and Design is building products, services and experiences that will help our customers navigate the challenging process of buying a home. This team is focused on bringing to life the vision of helping more Australians save for, find, buy and manage their home.
Working collaboratively in a cross functional team of design and engineering experts, you will be pushing the boundaries of what can be expected from a hybrid mobile/web experience to design creative and novel solutions to UX problems. To do this you will be supported by specialist teams of creatives, design systems support, data and software engineers to help bring your designs to life
The Home Ecosystem team has a specific focus on collaborating with key strategic partners across ANZ Group to help millions of Australians achieve their property goals. These partners operate across a range of sectors covering Property Technology, Merchant Funded Offers and Artificial Intelligence just to name a few and we will continue to incorporate more partners that can integrate to solve unique customer problems.
The customer is at the centre of everything that we do in ANZ and Home Ecosystem is no different. We work in cross-functional agile delivery squads, enabling us to build and deliver a suite of highly engaging digital features within ANZ Plus while also having opportunities to build shared capabilities that will support projects across the wider ANZ group.

What could your day look like?
Experience designers are a key part of our squads and are involved from inception through to running a feature day to day. Key responsibilities include:
- Project scoping: Scope and plan design activities in the project, ensuring the design activities remain on track and are set up for success
- Ideation: Strong experience in using collaborative ideation techniques to create wireframes from low fidelity to high fidelity
- Prototyping: Take UI from concept to design roll-out ensuring all the UX considerations and thinking are translated seamlessly into design deliverables
- Design artefacts: Craft and deliver design artefacts that are high quality, consistent and coherent with alignment with our Design Strategy and Design System
- Delivery: Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and facilitating walkthroughs to business stakeholders and developers
- Framework and standards: Active contribution to the ANZ Design System, champion consistency and components
- Coaching: Enable a Design Systems thinking culture and provide design guidance to both design and engineering teams
- Accessibility: Proven understanding, knowledge and experience working with accessibility standards (i.e. WCAG 2.1) and how this can be applied.
What's in your toolkit?
We’re looking for someone who is flexible, always thinking customer first and loves to collaborating in a high performing design and engineering team:
- Demonstrated UI/Visual design experience
- Confidence with a range of design software tools (Figma) whilst being open and adaptive to new trends and technologies
- Solid knowledge of UI design principles and techniques
- Ability to perform within a fast paced, iterative design process
- Ability to build rapport and manage stakeholder relationships
- Ability to present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner
- Comfort with ambiguity and being able to work through UX problems and discovery with limited information
- An interest in financial services, property and AI would
- Passion, clear communication and ability to foster an energetic, vibrant team culture with your willingness to push the boundary and try new thing in a candid, supportive environment.
