About the Role
The purpose of this role is to lead the Customer Digital Experience Tribe, comprising a collection of Squads with the common purpose of delivering easy to use banking services to our customers through the ANZ App, Internet Banking and Internet Banking for Business.
You will be accountable for the business strategy, vision and performance of the Tribe. By developing and enabling teams, you will lead a team of cross-functional autonomous squads to deliver value to customers at pace.

What will your day look like?
Leadership
- Set the vision, strategy and the ‘what’ for the Tribe.
- Enable the execution of business strategy, managing structure to align capability to strategic organisational priorities.
- Manage the overall performance of the Tribe focusing on enabling growth within the team.
- Mentor, coach and develop cross-functional Chapter Leads.
- Support the Chapter Leads with the development of their employees.
Create and promote the ANZ culture
- Drive a culture of Clarity, Safety and Trust within the Tribe and foster interactions between squads (in and out of own Tribe) and across ANZ more broadly.
- Inspire teams to innovate and try new things.
Realise and maintain Tribe purpose
- Own the Tribe's strategic agenda right through to execution, ensuring that it is grounded in facts and data.
- Define the number of Squads required and their composition to realise the purpose of the Tribe.
- Co-develop squad missions with POs and refine missions where required.
Execution of squad missions
- Safeguard the autonomy of squads to allow End-to-End realisation of their mission.
- Periodically check in with Product Owners on progress and prioritisation of backlog for their squad.
- Prioritise the squad development requirements with Agile Coach and Chapter Leads and take action to improve the team.

You’re relentlessly focused on continuously improving customer outcomes, eliminating roadblocks for your squads and working with other tribe leaders to ensure alignment and manage interdependencies.
Core to your mission is to drive the delivery of exceptional digital experiences for our customers through world-class design, usability and accessibility.
We are looking for extensive experience around the following:

- Empower your squads to achieve their missions and lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
- Negotiate, shape and influence across other Tribes and the enterprise.
- Synthesise multiple sources of information to make sound decisions keeping the customer at the heart of all decisions.
- Ensure that your Tribe purpose remains relevant based on the most recent customer data.
- Work with the squad Product Owners to ensure that the backlog of opportunities and tasks are prioritised in line with strategic priorities.
- Maintain sound understanding of the regulatory environment we are operating within, the risks we face and make good decisions to ensure we protect our customers and the bank.
