About the Role

As a Test Environment Delivery Manager in Australia technology area, you’ll play a key role in leading the build and management of test environments in support of the migration of the migration of Suncorp Bank customers to ANX systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong focus on delivery excellence and will play a crucial role in vendor management.

What will your day look like?

  • Delivery Excellence: Take ownership of end-to-end management of test environments, ensuring they are set up, maintained, readily available, properly configured, and aligned with project timelines.
  • Vendor Accountability: Serve as the primary liaison for external vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with development, QA, and project teams to streamline the testing process and address environment-related challenges.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks related to test environments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements for test environment management to increase efficiency and improve outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare and deliver regular status reports on test environment health to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Environment Management: Oversee setup, maintenance, and configuration of test environments to support testing schedules.
  • Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance closely to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate regular communication between teams to minimize delays and address challenges.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Implement strategies to minimize disruptions to project delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in test environment management.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, procedures, and issues.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
 

  • Many 10 years in integrated test environment management within large-scale IT projects in banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, environment provisioning, and tools ro effectively manage Test Environments
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements affecting Test Environments.
  • Proven track record in project delivery while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience in vendor relationship management focusing on performance oversight and accountability.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and risk management.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB).
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices in a banking context.
