About the Role
A Technology Area Lead (TAL) is accountable for enabling IT Strategy to deliver on a Tech Area’s purpose. Working side-by-side with the Business, Customer and / or respective Tribe Lead(s) to set the squad missions, they also focus on the maturity of your technology, systems and people, supported by their Chapter Leads. TALs work hard to create clarity for their team and drive a culture of safety, trust and continuous learning and growth. They relentlessly break down barriers and remove roadblocks to allow continuous, unimpeded delivery. With the customer experience at the heart of everything they do, TALs drive IT and Customer innovation and are critical to executing the Enterprise Strategy

What will your day look like?
- Overseeing the running and governance of group technology observability tools, ensuring its optimal performance and compliance with established standards
- Managing relationships with different tenants or business users of observability tools, prioritising and sequencing decisions to align with business objectives
- The successful delivery of high-profile, strategic initiatives that drive enterprise growth and innovation
- Upholding accountability for several enterprise processes, including incident management, change management, and problem management
- Analyse and enhance enterprise ITIL business processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality. This involves identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and implementing solutions that result in better performance and outcomes
- Maintaining a strong vendor relationship with the Splunk, New Relic and Dynatrace vendors, fostering collaboration and ensuring service quality
- Leading a team of ~160 FTE across three different geographies, promoting a cohesive and efficient work environment
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Proven experience in ITIL process improvement, with a track record of successful implementations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with process improvement tools and methodologies

Proven experience managing an enterprise platform and/or operational processes, including leading the response to major disruptions and/or crisis events

Proven experience managing a strategic vendor, including managing the commercials and service performance, as well as partnering with them to deliver additional value

Proven experience in the successful delivery of several high-profile, strategic initiatives that drive enterprise growth and innovation

Successfully led through complex transformations

Built and led high performing diverse teams

Successfully built a network of strong relationships and influenced across the enterprise including at Leadership and Board level
