About the Role

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for the data architecture capabilities within the ESG program. You will collaborate with architects within the Climate program and across the enterprise to ensure that the target ESG data architecture meets the enterprise's ESG needs and aligns with the ANZ data strategy and data architecture standards.

The Climate Program is an enterprise program focused on enhancing ANZ's maturity and capabilities in managing climate risk and delivering Climate-Related Disclosures to regulators at the same level as financial reporting.

What will your day look like?

As an ESG Data Architect in the Climate program your day to day role will include the following:
 

• Define and maintain the ESG Data Architecture, Data Model, and Taxonomies based on business requirements.
• Work across multiple teams, use cases, and source systems to develop an architecture that drives business value and provides flexibility to the data platform.
• Provide data leadership to business and technology teams across the bank, enabling informed decision making and alignment with the target ESG data architecture.
• Strong presentation and collaboration skills are required to foster a deep understanding and partnership.
• Be a champion of ANZ's data strategy and promote its application inside and outside of the Climate program.

What will you bring?

• Have a strong understanding of Data Mesh, Data Products, Data Modelling, Data Governance and Data Profiling.
• Have a good understanding of Cloud technologies (i.e., GCP and AWS), with focus on approaches for building out business solutions in the context of an enterprise solution.
• Have a solid understanding of the significance of data lineage and an ability to apply it in order to ensure data accuracy and facilitate regulatory compliance.
• Incorporate the full range of enterprise data governance capabilities into the provided architectural directions.
• Represent the architecture team in internal decision forums and external architectural forum.
• Have a good understanding of enterprise and solution architecture concepts and design practices.
• Expert ability to understand and resolve complex problems. 
• Able to balance delivery pressures with strategic intent.
• Have a good knowledge of ESG
• Exhibit a growth mindset, along with strong interpersonal and communications skills. Comfortable influencing at both technical and non-technical levels within a large organisation.
