About the Role

As the Care for Customer (C4C) Team Leader, you will lead a high-performing team of approximately 12 FTE, driving customer engagement, business growth and sales excellence across the portfolio. You will be responsible for creating a performance focused culture that delivers outstanding customer outcomes while achieving commercial objectives. 

The C4C team plays a critical role in deepening customer relationships through proactive engagement and comprehensive reviews of customers' business and banking needs. You will lead a team responsible for opening business accounts for new-to-bank and existing customers via our leads program, supporting their evolving banking and transactional requirements. By identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and position ANZ as the customer's primary banking provider, supporting both customer success and sustainable business growth. Through the timely management of customer requests and sales leads, the team will deliver exceptional service, operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and contribute to sustainable business growth. 

You will coach and develop your team to uncover cross-sell opportunities, increase customer adoption of ANZ's business and digital solutions, and build long-term customer advocacy. Through strong leadership, performance management and continuous capability uplift, you will ensure high-quality customer interactions, adherence to risk and compliance requirements and consistent achievement of business outcomes. As a people leader, you will foster a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement while contributing to the broader Commercial Banking strategy and helping ANZ win more of our customers' business.

What will your day look like?

 

This role is responsible for: 

  • Lead, mentor and develop the team to achieve performance targets, deliver exceptional customer service outcomes, and maintain sustainable capacity levels to meet business demand. 
  • Conduct A-Z reviews for customers requiring further support and ensure timely referrals to the appropriate ANZ departments. 
  • Oversee and enable your teams’ efforts to have quality needs based conversation, provide insight and valuable recommendations to customers. 
  • Empower the team to take ownership of customer issues, proactively resolve challenges, and continuously build their capability and expertise. Ensure the team has a strong solution and process knowledge base line. 
  • Achieve sales, growth, and customer acquisition objectives while ensuring exceptional customer outcomes and adherence to ANZ policies, risk frameworks, and values. 
  • Maintain compliance with required training and banker capabilities (e.g. Mandatory Learning, ACL, FSRA, AF On-boarding, and Introduction Credit Course) 
  • Drive business process improvements and operational efficiencies that enhance team performance, customer experience, and business outcomes. 
  • Drive effective teamwork and collaboration across all members of the team and coach individuals to be their best.

  • Sound knowledge of banking products, customer service best practices, and risk management. 
  • A growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and capability development.
