Talent & Culture Regulatory Governance Manager
Talent & Culture Regulatory Governance Manager
About Us
At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.
About the Role
As a Talent & Culture Regulatory Governance Manager in the Reward & Performance function, you’ll play a key role in delivering core work and strategic priorities under ANZ’s Performance and Remuneration Framework. This role will focus on reward and governance for our most senior executives, Non Executive Directors and other regulated roles. It will also contribute to the effective management of related Board governance and regulatory obligations, with scope and flexibility to support other T&C Regulatory Governance activities.
You’ll operate as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, collaborating with colleagues in Reward & Performance, and across Talent & Culture, to solve problems, respond to evolving requirements and deliver effective solutions in line with ANZ’s Reward Principles.
Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.
Role Type: 12-month Fixed Term contract
Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC
Work Hours: Full-time
What will your day look like?
As a T&C Regulatory Governance Manager, you will primarily be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering complex remuneration priorities: Develop and execute sophisticated proposals for executive appointments, exits, and reward strategies, ensuring seamless integration of regulatory governance requirements.
- Drafting and influencing high-impact board papers, including well-researched recommendations and expert insights on executive remuneration matters.
- Drive market intelligence: Conduct market analysis, leveraging data and industry trends to inform benchmarking and strategic recommendations.
- Drive good governance and process excellence: Design and refine tools, processes, and project plans for executive performance and remuneration reviews, collaborating with cross-functional leaders.
- Governance and compliance: Monitor and provide recommendations to enhance remuneration structures, ensuring alignment with ANZ’s policies, process standards and external regulation.
- Informal leadership: Act as a go-to expert, mentoring peers and influencing stakeholders within Reward & Performance, across Talent & Culture and the broader business.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Extensive experience and technical expertise in remuneration, market benchmarking, and regulatory compliance - ideally executive remuneration within financial services or large, complex environments.
- Proven ability to plan, manage and deliver high-impact workstreams at pace, navigating ambiguity and complexity, and driving outcomes through influence rather than formal authority.
- Strong analytical skills, with a talent for translating data into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders and shaping decisions at senior leadership level. Experience in drafting board papers and external disclosures would be well regarded.
- Able to work independently, designing and delivering work within broad parameters, and take initiative.
- A growth mindset, continuously seeking opportunities to elevate standards across the organization.
You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.
