About the Role

 

The Markets Desktop Support Analyst plays a critical role in enabling the Global Markets business by delivering reliable, secure, and high‑availability end‑user technology across trading floors and Markets offices.

 

You will provide Level 2 desktop and trading floor support, working directly with traders, sales, risk, and operations teams in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. The role focuses on maintaining stability, performance, and usability of Markets technology while partnering closely with the business to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Providing hands‑on support to Markets users on the trading floor and in office environments
  • Diagnosing and resolving desktop, application, and connectivity issues in time‑critical situations
  • Supporting trading room platforms, vendor applications, and market data services
  • Performing daily health checks, monitoring, and routine housekeeping of trading floor systems
  • Managing incidents, service requests, and escalations in line with ITIL practices
  • Coordinating with infrastructure, engineering, and third‑party vendors to resolve complex issues
  • Supporting desktop refreshes, application upgrades, and new technology rollouts
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to knowledge articles
  • Ensuring endpoint security, compliance, and audit requirements are met

What will you bring?

 

  • Strong experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Solid knowledge of desktop and trading floor hardware, including PCs, laptops, blade workstations, peripherals, and multi‑monitor setups
  • Experience supporting mobile phones (Android/Workpace ONE)
  • Familiarity with endpoint management and deployment tools (e.g. Intune, SCCM or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN and desktop‑level networking fundamentals
  • Experience supporting Markets and trading applications such as Bloomberg, LSEG Workspace, and related front‑office tools
  • Exposure to incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL aligned)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Proven ability to prioritise, take ownership, and work effectively both independently and as part of a global team
